We want to make sure our events are as environmentally friendly as possible, so we encourage you to use public transport if you can.

By road
Liverpool city centre is an expensive place to park. We strongly recommend using public transport. You can check nearby car parks using this link:

Liverpool Facilities
  • Toilets available at the start and finish at Pier Head
  • Wheelchair friendly
  • Water refills available
  • Medical assistance
  • Hypo snacks available for those that require it along the route
  • Well behaved dogs on short leads are allowed

The route is on tarmac or concrete paths and pavements, making the route wheelchair accessible. There are numerous roads to cross, please follow all guidance from our marshals to make sure the route is safe for everyone.

Please bring your own reusable water bottle filled. We have removed single-use plastic bottles of water from our start and finish, and instead we can provide water re-fills for you to top up and stay hydrated!

Training for Wellness Walk Liverpool
  • Wellness Walk isn’t about being first across the finish line; this is a friendly, non-competitive event. You’ll come together with like-minded people from the diabetes community, all prioritising wellness, at the same time as raising funds to support those affected by diabetes.

Check out our training resources here.

How it’s going in Liverpool
