How do I get there?
There are many ways to get to Pier Head, but make sure you check your route beforehand and leave plenty of time. If you want to use ‘What3words’ to find the exact location of the event venue, please use ///market.affair.create

We want to make sure our events are as environmentally friendly as possible, so we encourage you to use public transport if you can.

By public transport
Wellness Walk Liverpool is located conveniently within the city centre and close to a number of train stations and bus routes. James Street and Moorfields train stations are all within a 10 minute walk to the start/finish. Lime Street is about a 20 minute walk.

By road
Liverpool city centre is an expensive place to park. We strongly recommend using public transport. You can check nearby car parks using this link:

  • Wheelchair friendly
  • Water refills available
  • Medical assistance
  • Hypo snacks available for those that require it along the route

Training for Wellness Walk Liverpool
  • Wellness Walk isn’t about being first across the finish line; this is a friendly, non-competitive event. You’ll come together with like-minded people from the diabetes community, all prioritising wellness, at the same time as raising funds to support those affected by diabetes.

Check out our training resources here.

How it’s going in Liverpool

When I first started walking, I couldn’t do more than a couple of miles without flaking out. Now I can do a five mile walk at a decent pace and not get exhausted.
